Village Circle road repair project is complete as of 10/01/22. It is safe to drive on the new pavement.
The new underdrains and repaired pavement should provide better drainage and keep the road in shape for several more years while we build our reserves toward a future repaving of the entire road.
Thank you for your patience!
Previous updates:
**Co-owners on Village Circle: If you are able, please park on Ailsa Craig Mon Sept 26 – Wed Sept 28.**
Nagle Paving had a setback with the specialty equipment needed for the road repair project. The 4-foot mill has now been repaired and the project start has been rescheduled. Please read the details below carefully. We’ll share more information as it becomes available.
Project Starts Friday 9/23 (weather permitting)
The crew will likely not work through the weekend, but the road should be drivable at that time, with a 4” bump. Please drive carefully!
Paving should begin the next Tuesday, 9/27.
Co-owners on Village Circle: If possible, please park on Ailsa Craig from Sept. 26-28 to avoid construction areas. The most important time is when the pavement is put down and while it is curing. (See below)
Project Details:
Step 1: Milling and Underdrains
- A 4-foot strip in the middle of the pavement will be milled to a depth of 4 inches. Underdrain pipes will be installed on the catch basins to allow for better drainage.
- This will take 1-2 days, depending on weather, beginning at 7:30AM on Friday.
- If necessary, you will be able to drive on the milled pavement; please drive carefully and know there will be a 4-inch bump.
Step 2: Paving
- The new pavement will need time to cure. This is the time that the road may NOT be drivable. This is expected to start Tuesday Sept 27, but will depend on the weather and progress of step 1. We will provide more details regarding the date of paving as soon as we are able.
- On the day of paving…
– Please be out of your garage/driveway by 7:30AM and park on Ailsa Craig.
– You will not be able to drive on the new pavement until after 6:00PM on the day of paving.
We apologize for the inconvenience these large-scale projects can cause, especially construction projects that affect traffic flow. Many of our contractors are struggling with staffing and scheduling this year. Our management company has had a number of challenges this year as well. The board is working as closely as possible with the civil engineering company for this project, and other contractors, to convey the importance of timely communication, yet we can only share the info they provide.
Thank you for your continued patience as we work through these projects!
On a positive note, after the road repair and masonry repair projects are completed this year, our large-scale projects are done for few years!
