The meeting date has been moved back to accommodate preparation for the new digital format due to the pandemic.
One of the purposes of the annual meeting is to elect directors to the Association’s Board of Directors (BOD). At the meeting on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, 2 board positions must be filled. The two positions have the following terms: Two , 2 year terms. Nominations will be accepted through February 18th, 2022. There are currently two incumbents: Chris Adams and Janette Hyde.
A Nominating Petition is enclosed: you may nominate yourself or another co-owner. If you are nominating another co-owner, please obtain their signature accepting your nomination before returning the petition.
A Designated Voting Representative (DVR) form is enclosed for your use. If there is more than one owner of a unit, all owners must sign the DVR form to designate one owner to vote, receive communications, sign proxies and receive ballots at or for meetings of the Association. Regrettably, when a DVR form is not on file for a unit, a ballot will not be counted for that unit. If you already have a DVR form on file, you are not required to file a new one, unless you want to change the DVR.
To ascertain the current DVR for your unit, please examine the mailing label on the envelope in which these documents were mailed. 1) If a single name appears, and there are multiple owners, and you have submitted a DVR forlm in the past, then the addressee is the DVR. 2) If more than one name appears, we have not received a DVR form from you. 3) If only one name appears, and there is a single owner of your unit, the mailing label will not be useful in ascertaining whether a DVR form has already been submitted.
In order to conduct the meeting, a quorum of 35% of co-owners of Turnberry Village Association must be present, either in person or by proxy. A Proxy form is enclosed if ou wish to vote but cannot attend the meeting. The Proxy form must be signed by the DVR as it authorizes someone else to vote on your behalf. PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFROT TO ATTEND THE MEETING OR SEND IN YOUR PROXY. If you don’t know to whom to proxy your vote, please authorize a current director or a co-owner who will attend the meeting.
