It’s getting green out there! And since spring has sprung, here are a few tips to keep our Village safe and secure:
- People are spending more time out and about, so please be sure to drive slowly, watch for children, bikes and pets.
- Place your trash and recycling bins carefully, and collect them in a timely manner to avoid blocking traffic or sightlines. (Also be sure to place your receptacles facing the street, and at least 3 feet apart, as required by Waste Management.)
- For your safety and security, be sure your porch and garage lights are on at night, especially if your lights are manually controlled and not set on by a sensor. Ask Herriman to replace your bulbs if needed. You can use their online Maintenance Request Form.
- Clean up after your dogs to prevent kids or other animals from stepping in or tracking the mess. This also helps prevent pests which might be attracted to the mess.
- Do not place potted plants or ornaments on the walkways. These need to be kept free to avoid tripping hazards.
